DULUX WEATHERSHIELD – 60 YEARS OF IRISH WEATHER

*2016 ICAD Awards Bronze Bell in Film: TV, Cinema, Web – TV Commercial (over 30 seconds)

*Kinsale Sharks 2015 Shortlist: Irish Film – TV/Online or Cinema – 30 seconds or over

Here in Ireland, we get all the weather, all the time, but since 1955, we’ve been able to use Dulux Weathershield to protect our homes from it all. To celebrate their 60-year anniversary, we wanted to pay homage to the last 6 decades of Irish TV weather forecasts, and using vintage camera and audio equipment to recreate them as authentically as possible, along with some great wardrobe, set design and performances, we think we did just that.

(Art Dir: John Kilkenny; Dir: Brian Durnin; Sound Design: Paddy Gibbons)

DIGICEL – COME TOGETHER FOR CHRISTMAS

Digicel wanted a Christmas ad for their various Caribbean markets that showed the importance of being together with friends and family for the holidays, and how the network and their products could be at the heart of it all. We created this based on the truth that, at this time of year, everyone needs a little help of some kind or other…

(Art Dirs: Laurence O’Byrne, Jonathan Cullen; Dir: Richard Chaney)

BALLYGOWAN IRISH WATER – DRINK IT IN

We were asked to do something that celebrates the power & brilliance of water in both a contemporary and distinctly Irish way. So we took the amazing Aquagraphics water installation technology and brought it to Dublin’s Meeting House Square on a lovely spring day.

(Art Dirs: Marty Cowman, Kev Keenan; Dir: Gavin Kelly)

KELLOGG’S NUTRIGRAIN – OFFICE & CRECHE

Two fun spots to write and shoot. Maintaining the fine tradition of diminutive Philly cornermen giving no-nonsense support in energy-sapping environments.

(Art Dir: Robin Laurens; Dir: Brian O’Malley)

FRUICE – SO SMOOTH

A tour de force of lovingly created stopmotion to bring the ultra-smooth “food magnet” Mr Fruice to life.

(Art Dir: Kevin O’Shea; Dir: Daniel Cohen)

FRUICE – JUICY 5 A DAY

And here’s Mr Fruice’s Juicy little brothers:

(Art Dir: Kevin O’Shea; Dir: Daniel Cohen)

RTÉ RADIO 1 – LIVE THE DAY

RTÉ wanted to show the parallels between their broadcasts and their listeners’ lives, positioning the station “at the heart of Irish life” This spot I wrote for them in 2013 did that.

(Dir: Damian Farrell; Producer: Gavin McAuliffe)

AER LINGUS – HANGAR

Bringing a touch of Michael Bay oomph to an Aer Lingus January Sale.

(Art Dir: Kevin O’Shea; Dir: Gavin Kelly)
