While pitching to online takeaway directory Just-Eat.ie, one avenue we proposed was targeting 3rd-level students who were studying for exams. We assumed that if they weren’t living at home, cooking for themselves at this time was always going to be low on their agenda, thus making them the perfect potential customers.
Another thing we knew about them was that, if they got distracted from their studies, they were going to head straight for their smartphones. So we suggested advertising to them on Snapchat, playing on the fact that they were on there instead of deep in their books (do they even have books nowadays?) and positioning a bit of grub as just the thing to help get them back to the grind.
