McDonald’s relaunched their range of freshly prepared wraps in 2012, and wanted to give away a number of free wraps as an activation to drive lunchtime traffic.
Working off the notion that we wanted people to fall back in love with their lunch again, myself and art directors Adam Crane & Colm Coonagh devised an app-based campaign to encourage people to ditch their boring sandwich and try a fresh, tasty wrap instead.
Knowing how shy your average Irish person can be about expressing love over the phone (especially in a public place), we challenged them to activate the McDonald’s app and shout “I love you” into their smartphones at a certain decibel.
Shout loudly enough, and ping, the app will reward you with a voucher for a free wrap of your choice. What’s not to love?
